Supporting outfits now read the hero piece before getting dressed. A relaxed hooded jacket stays casual with an easy tee, trousers and sneakers; tailoring, streetwear, sport and evening pieces each receive their own quieter supporting wardrobe. The recipe stays fixed across locations and poses, so a campaign remains consistent without making every garment look formal.

The scene picker has more room indoors. Shoot in a warm old-world café, a severe concrete hallway or a secluded chalet above the Swiss Alps. For night work, there is a lantern-lit Tokyo izakaya alley after rain and Shibuya Crossing with the model held sharp against a moving crowd. Each location is art-directed for fashion rather than used as a generic travel backdrop.

The app inside your Shopify admin is now a real workspace rather than a hand-off page. Four sections along the left: Product Studio for packshots and staged scenes, Apparel Studio for flat, ghost mannequin and on-model, Library for every render this store has made, and Settings for your plan. Product photography is the new part: it was website-only until now. Billing gained monthly plans on top of the one-time credit packs, billed through Shopify on your normal app invoice, and every screen links back to the full studio on the website.

“Add to Shopify” used to need a product that already existed, which is backwards: you shoot the photos before you list the thing. Now you can hit Select in your dashboard, tick the shots that belong together, and create the product from them. Title, description and every photo go over in one step, in the order you picked them, with the first as the main image. It lands as a draft, so you set price and inventory in Shopify before it goes live. There is a Write it for me button on the description too: it reads the main photo and writes from the real product, in whichever tone you pick, free and without credits. Adding photos to an existing product still works exactly as it did.

The cast goes to nine. Rin is an East Asian runway model cast for one specific look rather than a general one: a razor-blunt fringe over poker-straight blue-black hair, a sculpted couture bone structure, glass skin and a cool, unsmiling stare. She is the face to reach for when a piece should read high fashion rather than catalogue, and she carries tailoring and evening wear particularly well.

The on-model scene library goes to fourteen. Travertine hall is the hall of a modernist stone villa in the late afternoon: a wall of pale travertine, a honed floor holding a faint reflection, and low sun raking in from the side so the stone glows warm where it lands and the far end falls away into deep shadow. It suits tailoring and long silhouettes, and it is the first interior in the library that is neither a studio nor a street.

On-model puts a garment on a person. This does the same for everything else you sell. Upload a product, pick Staged scene, and the studio reads what the product is and builds a setting that suits it: a chair gets a quiet, well-lit room, a serum gets a spa shelf, a mug gets a morning counter. There is nothing to choose. If you do want a say, one line of direction (“on a dark stone bar top”) steers it. Two credits on Standard, four on Pro, same as on-model.

Uploading a photo now opens a cropper: drag to move, scroll or pinch to zoom, and the circle shows exactly what will appear in the corner of the site. Your original is never uploaded, only the square you framed, so a big photo straight off a camera goes through as quickly as a small one. Anything up to 12 MB is fine.

The whole site now has a dark theme, the studio and the library included. It follows your device by default, so if your phone or laptop is already on dark you have it. To pin it either way, open the menu under your profile picture and use the switch next to Appearance. It's in the footer too, on every page, whether you're signed in or not. Renders themselves are unchanged: they're lit for a white background because that's what a product page wants.

The menu under your profile picture was five rows that all looked identical, so buying credits looked exactly like opening a settings page. It now leads with who you're signed in as and which plan you're on, puts billing on a button of its own, and keeps the profile and admin links quiet underneath.

Photos are half a product page. The other half now has its own tool: upload a photo, type a few notes, or both, pick one of six tones of voice, and get a title, a description and selling-point bullets back in seconds. It's free with an account, costs no credits, and everything you write is saved under Product copy in your library.

The on-model scene library goes to thirteen. Poolside blue puts your piece against a cerulean wall above an infinity pool, with the sea and sky stacked behind it in deeper blues. Manor garden is the formal rear lawn of an English country house: clipped box hedges, gravel paths and pale limestone under soft overcast light. Paris rooftop is the first night scene, a zinc terrace with the city dissolved into warm bokeh behind.

Every choice in the studio now shows an example of what it produces. Flat studio, ghost mannequin and on-model sit side by side as pictures, the four backdrops are previewed on the same dress so you can compare them properly, and the poses and framing show the crop you will actually get. The settings are grouped into five numbered steps, so a first render is a walk down the page rather than a guess.

The studio now shoots anything you sell. Pick Product at the top of the studio, upload a phone photo of a bottle, jar, mug, candle, gadget, piece of jewellery or bag, and get back a clean white-background packshot: lit for its actual material, squared up, grounded with a soft contact shadow. Logos and label text are reproduced letter for letter, and every render is checked for warped lettering before it reaches you. Apparel is untouched, and still what we do best.

Renders queue in the background with per-user fairness, favourites and quality filters arrived, and thumbnails got dramatically lighter.

The whole site moved to its minimalist-luxury design system. Profiles, avatars and account controls arrived with it.
